Summer reading comes to ArchitectureBoston

AB Summer 2014 "Books"

We're delighted to share the newest incarnation of ArchitectureBoston magazine, with a fresh look, and a subject that is close to our hearts.

The Summer 2014 issue looks at books. How and why do we read? What are we poring over, and where are we doing it?

Through essays on libraries and evolving technology, book reviews and curricula, we showcase stunning art, including dramatic book structures by Stephen Doyle, Daniel Eatock's interpretive book shelf, and typographer Russell Maret's meticulous artists' books.

"Books" also represents another step in the evolving design of the magazine, concurrent with the Boston Society of Architects' recent rebranding effort. We've introduced two new sans serif typefaces, more white space, and an updated underlying grid system to accommodate the rich and varied content.

You can browse the feature stories online at, or find the hard copy at select Boston-area independent bookstores. It's the perfect read for your next beach trip. Happy summer!
